The book that I’ve been harping on about for the past 2 months on twitter has finally arrived! "The Legend of Zelda and Philosophy: I Link Therefore I Am" is a collection of philosophical essays based on The Legend of Zelda series of computer games. I’ve only read the first essay ("Why Do We Care Whether Link Saves The Princess") which was an interesting article on why we feel emotion when playing computer games even though we know them to not be real. This applies to any game (e.g. why does Resident Evil make you scared when you know it can’t hurt you?) or other genre but was very thought-provoking! I’m looking forward to reading some more today.

Anyway, this is a photo of my bedside table in which you can see the new book as well as my diary. My diary is wrapped in a Tibetan book cover that my mum gave to me after she went to Dharamsala. Apparently, as so much of the Tibetan knowledge was lost when they fled Tibet, they highly treasure books and therefore make special covers for each one. Also in this picture is a rather worn speaker that I "borrowed" from my last place of work – it’s connected to an Airport Express unit under my bed which means I can play music from iTunes on my laptop out of them wirelessly. I have similar speakers dotted around the house – it sounds quite good when they are all on as you can walk through the flat with music playing continuously and in time!

On October 17, 1999 at No Mercy, wwe held the fisrt ever tag team ladder match with the winner of this match recieving 0000 and the manager services of Terri Runnels. The match was contested between edge and christian and the hardy boys which at that time were known as the new brood faction with gangrel. The match ended with the hardys winning and with the audience giving a standing up ovation to all four wrestlers. This move by wwe catapulted these two teams to the top of the tag team division. The months following had the hardy boys compete in a tag team tables match with the same succes. So now thier was the hardys who were good with ladders, the dudleys who mastered the tables and edge and christain with the chairs.Fastfowarding to wrestlemania 2000, The hardys, the dudleys and edge&christian were put into a triple tag team triangle ladder match. In this match tables, ladders, and chairs were heavily favoured and any chance these guys got to they used them. Then edge and christian were complaining one night o everyone that would listen because of attacks from the dudleys and the hardys. foley came out and told them they would be in a match at summerslam against the hardys and the dudleys. The match was going to be the first ever Tables, Ladders, and chairs. With all the hype for weeks leading up to summerslam. The night finally came.
