Are you a visual person? Are you able to plan a new garden layout or color scheme for your home without lifting a finger? Question by Raynesa J: will remodeling INCREASE my home value – what are buyers looking for?
I have a formal dining room, that is a completely separate room. Im wanting to turn it into a formal office, and place perm. shelves. Im also wanting to WALL it in, so there is only ONE entrance into the “office”, (instead of one entrance from kitchen, other from hallway).
What are buyers looking for nowadays? (we plan on selling in 5 yrs) Will lack of a “formal” dining really make a difference? Are buyers really wanting a formal dining, or will a formal office space be a good selling point?
Also, Ripping up carpet. Should we go with very nice tile (like ceramic or even stone) or hardwood? We like the look of the tile better, but if hardwood is a bigger selling point, we will go with that.
I think my question is… what are buyers looking for in a home? Tile or Hardwood? Formal dining, or formal office space (or even extra bedroom)
When I bought MY house, I was impartial to a formal dining. I knew right away I would use it as an office, and just put my desk and a book shelf in there (and my job stuff).

Some days its harder to remember to take a picture than others. It doesn’t help, I suppose, that I’ve been watching season 2 of Lost on DVD and that I get so entranced when I’m watching it that I forget about the world outside of my television set.

Anyway, this is a shot of the cubbyhole/storage-thingy that sits to the left of my computer, on my desk. Most of this stuff could probably be stored elsewhere, since I don’t use it all that much anymore. But I don’t really have anything to store here anyway, so freeing up the space isn’t really an issue.
